Bucknell University is home to so many special memories for Lacey and Devon. They first met at Lacey's freshman orientation during the 7th Street Block Party on Bucknell's Campus. It wasn't long until they became everyday staples in one another's lives: Going on sushi dates, watching Guardians of the Galaxy, and studying for exams together. Both were working toward an engineering degree: Lacey in Biomedical Engineering and Devon in Computer Science and Engineering.
Following graduation, Devon moved to Boston for work, and after securing a job of her own, Lacey joined him. While the combined intelligence of these two is off the charts, they also manage to have some of the most unique and epic hobbies. As a former dancer, Lacey enjoys Barre classes, baking, and exploring small New England Towns. Devon is a Second Degree Black Belt who now teaches Martial Arts, runs an online advertisement company, and collects LEGOS. And these are all activities done in their free time!
In October of 2019, the duo returned to the campus of Bucknell where Devon proposed to Lacey at the very spot they first met. Wedding plans were set for a large celebration in August, but alas, Covid had different plans. They made the difficult decision to postpone their dream wedding, however, they still wanted to get married. What better place to do so then the place that already holds so much of their hearts. They officially become husband and wife in an intimate ceremony at Bucknell and added one more milestone anniversary to the Bucknell Docket.
This past summer, they finally had their dream wedding with all of the important people in their lives in one room. Their elegant Nemacolin wedding is what dreams are made of. They shared a first look in front of the iconic Chateau. The simple and classy elegance of the Lafayette Gardens were the idyllic backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony. The extravagant chandeliers in the grand ballroom were the perfect complement to their intimate and romantic first dance (to none other than T-Swift!). The cookie table set the bar high - and wowed Devon's family who aren't from Pittsburgh. And let's just say - we are pretty sure no one can do a spin in dip like these two.
July 10 could not have been a more perfect celebration of this out of this world kind, intelligent, athletic and beautiful couple. We are in awe of these two and so glad they could, at last, celebrate their love and marriage with their people. The day was elegant, timeless and fun, just like these two.
Congratulations Lacey & Devon!
