Just as the leaves were beginning to change colors this Fall, I had the opportunity to freeze time for this busy family of eight. It is not as common these days to know a family that has six kids in it, but it's always so much fun when you do cross paths with a one (especially since Nazari and I both come from rather large families ourselves!). The Cook family is truly a remarkable one and it was a joy to spend the evening running around Mellon Park on what can only be described as the quintessential evening.
The amount these guys balance makes my head spin - as it's truly both an art form and a super power. One of the things that blows me away the most is that in the midst of raising so many children and working multiple jobs, Lizzie and Jason prioritize a weekly date night to get away and spend some concentrated time together. That's just one of the many intentional ways that they love and care for each other, and work together to raise their beautiful kiddos. Ranging in age from 2 - grown up and out of the house, there is certainly never a dull moment with this crew.
