Justin and Lyndsay got married on the dreamiest of October days at Shady Elms Farm and we could not have asked for more ideal conditions for an outdoor affair. Yet we know without a doubt, it couldn't have mattered less what the weather was doing that fateful Fall day, because the love they share can without a doubt withstand any storm.
These two met through mutual friends while both living in LA. Justin happened to be friends with Lyndsay’s roommate at the time and was at her home when she wasn't even there. Once they were finally introduced - they hit it off immediately. Not only is Lyndsay flawless, she is down to earth, kind, and can talk anyone under the table on sports trivia. Justin knew he was in trouble.
Unfortunately, Lyndsay's time in LA came to an end all too soon and she embarked on her next adventure across the country. After a couple months of being gone, she informed Justin that she was coming to visit and planning to stay with him...for TEN days.
Being somewhat early in the relationship, Justin was understandably taken off guard, a bit concerned about what she would do the whole time, since he'd be working and stuff...
But any worries he had dissipated immediately upon her arrival. Their time together went incredibly well. SO well that from that point onward, they decided to follow each other all over the country (and globe!) From LA to the Caribbean right after Justin finished school, to Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh and places in between, these two have certainly been around the block a time or two.
One particular weekend, they ventured to Seven Springs with a group of friends for a winter getaway for Lyndsay's 30th birthday. They spent the weekend together and had a blast skiing and hanging out with their favorite people who had all come from out of town. Due to flights and other commitments, everyone ended up leaving by midday Sunday, leaving Justin and Lyndsay with the cozy winter cabin all to themselves. They were lounging by the fireplace, and she stated emphatically that if he was planning to propose, it would be the perfect time to do so. As fate would have it, the wind blew the patio doors open, like a sign affirming what Lyndsay had just said.
Justin took note, but pretended like he didn't have a ring with him as he nonchalantly left the room to grab the ring that he had in fact been carrying with him for weeks from his suitcase.
He returned to her, got down on one knee, and proposed right there, just the two of them in their cozy cabin: the perfect end to one of their favorite weekends. She said yes and they celebrated by enjoying frozen pizza, champagne and playing Big Buck Hunter in the cabin's arcade. Everything fell into place. It was perfect, and more importantly, it was the epitome of "them".
We have been beyond blessed that life brought them to Pittsburgh for a season and gave us the chance to get to know the two of them and share in their story. We could not be happier for these two extraordinary people and their once in a lifetime love story!
