Dan and Steph celebrated becoming husband and wife on an idyllic June Saturday in the South Hills of Pittsburgh - the part of the city where they both grew up, met, and bought their first home. We had a blast running around our beloved city last summer for their downtown engagement session.
These two were randomly introduced at a dinner out one night when they each went as a friend's plus one. Their friends spent the evening engaged in conversation which left Dan and Stephanie to talk among themselves. Not only did their banter come naturally, it was effortless. They made one another laugh, feel challenged, and both felt a rare comfort in sharing that brought an immediate depth to the foundation of their relationship. There was an undeniable connection, however, the timing wasn't right.
Months later when the start were better aligned, they reconnected and never looked back. Dan notes that what stood out the most about Stephanie was the way she believed in him before he ever believed in himself - a sentiment that perfectly encapsulates this duo. They are the dream team couple: Supporting one another's ambitions, cheering each other on, and having a heck of a time doing it.
Their wedding day perfectly showcased this. Stephanie began the morning reading a letter from Dan beginning with the quote, "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." To which he added, "You are my person".
Later in the day, Stephanie had a special surprise of her own her groom - as she had arranged for Iceburgh to crash the reception - something she knew would make the Penguins fanatic she married thrilled. To say Dan was ecstatic is a drastic understatement. But that's par for the course with these two - who not only go out of their way to love on each other - but every single person they come in contact with always without fail.
These two have no doubt embarked on a lifetime journey full of love, adventure, laughter, kindness, AND incredible food (Dan just started an out of this world BBQ business and it is to die for! You can check that out at Sabols_Table - we already ordered our turkey and brisket for Thanksgiving ;).
Congratulations to this grill master and his hot flame ;) We adore you guys and are so grateful for the gift of knowing you both and sharing in this piece of your story!
