Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh Wedding | Jenny + Max

Max and Jenny are two absolutely incredible, super fun, wildly intelligent people who have always marched to the beat of their own drum. For starters, Jenny shocked everyone in her home town of Pittsburgh when she decided to go to Florida for college and pursue a career in marine biology. It was there in Melbourne, Florida that she met fellow marine biologist, Max, and fell in love.

While in Max's hometown in New Jersey, the two were out boating when another boat passed by theirs with a giant sign hanging from it asking Jenny if she would marry Max, and she, of course, said yes to spending her life with her best friend.

They tied the knot at the iconic Museum of Natural History in Oakland and had some of the most incredible personalized details throughout their day that we have ever seen to represent their shared love for marine life! Max & Jenny had a cookie table with fish and mermaid cookies that were as good looking as they were delicious. They even had Old Bay Season for guests to take home with them. There was an ocean themed guest book, as well as signature drinks titled "Mermaid Mule" and "Captain's Tea". The grooms cake had crabs on it! And Max and his mom danced their mother/son dance in fishing boots!

Due to their unique passion, we also got to visit parts of the museum that aren't often frequented on a wedding day: the fish and dinosaur fossil displays! The last time we had been there was almost nine years ago on the day we got engaged, so it was super fun to walk through these epic areas of the museum and document Max and Jenny in a place truly unique to them and their story!

Jenny was the last of her three sister to get married, so this wedding was the grand finale for their family. The morning started in her childhood home where photographs of her family throughout the years decorated the walls and truly made the gorgeous house a home. The morning (and the entire day) was full of laughter and happy tears and it was a tremendous gift to spend the day with such a tight-knit bunch. One last fun fact: The McAndrews are big fans of human pyramids - so the wedding day was not complete without creating a cousin pyramid in the Sculpure Hall at the museum!

Congratulations Max & Jenny! Cheers to many more years of love, laughter, and twisted teas from the gas station after a long day of fishing!
